KCMO Morning Show BlogTuesday, July 17, 2007A Tragic Anniversary Today
John Sullivan was a 24-year-old law student in 1981 when his mother was tragically killed along with 113 others in the Hyatt Regency sky walk collapse. Tonight marks the exact date of that tragic event. Now 26 years later John and others want to memorialize those lost with a new website.
The discussion this morning turned to where the memorial be located. How much would it cost? And does it have the public support to proceed. The reviews were mixed. We stumbled onto a great website for people of all faiths to research, blog, and communicate with others of faith. Laura Sheahen, Chief Religion Editor of Beliefnet.com joined us today to discuss the record $660,000,000 settlement paid by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of L.A. to alleged victims of clergy abuse. Listen to our rebroadcast of the exclusive interview with Robert Novak, author of "The Prince of Darkness" tomorrow morning (6/18) at 6:30. Purchase his book here via our friends at Borders Books.
